This myth is a bit tricky. Yes, you do end up gaining quite a bit of weight if you do eat foods very high in fat in excess all the time. The calories are what are causing you to gain weight and not the fat. You could eat a diet with no fat and high in calories and still gain the weight as well. Watch the calorie intake over the fat intake if you want to avoid gaining weight.

I am sure you heard this when you first went to the doctor during your teenage years. This is another common myth which is unfortunately perpetuated by doctors. What you have to understand is that the doctors are usually just telling you what they have been trained to learn through the American Medical Association. They mean well, but many doctors do not go that extra step connect dots as to what is causing a certain issue. They merely take symptoms and prescribe a medication to end those symptoms.

There is no truth in any of these myths. Each one has taken a manifestation of your condition and wrongly attributed the cause to here the prevailing circumstances. Yet, you can have clear skin in as little as a week, if you treat the root cause of your acne.
